The Challenge

In 2004, Nike requested Winston’s assistance in merchandising men’s and women’s apparel and footwear in 250 locations for key retailers in the US. The exploration with Winston was to test the efficiency and effectiveness of using an outsourced merchandising partner at retail.

The Solution

The test for Nike proved to be a success, brand presentation and integrity was upheld at retail and the frequency of visit and cost efficiencies in costs were a success from the start. Winston and Nike has continued to grow over the years to more than 2,000 locations covering all apparel, footwear, and accessories for men’s, women’s, and kids businesses. Winston’s support for Nike spans all levels of retail -- from regional specialty stores to department stores, from Major League Baseball to college campuses. Winston has grown to be a key strategic partner for Nike, not only in supporting retail, but also in creative services, event management, and event activation.
